Now, birth and death certificates available online in Tamil Nadu

The Tamil Nadu CM launched the online portal crstn.org, which is the civil registration website at the Institute of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Chennai's Egmore.

Getting a birth and death certificate in Tamil Nadu just got easier with Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami launching the civil registration website. No more do people of Tamil Nadu to stand in long queues waiting for their certificates. The Tamil Nadu CM launched the online portal crstn.org, which is the civil registration website at the Institute of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Chennai's Egmore. Now, people of Tamil Nadu can download their birth or death certificates free of cost within 21 days.

While mothers in government hospitals will be given the birth certificate at the day they are discharged, parents in private hospitals can download the certificate from the website.

CM Palaniswami also launched Amma Maternal and Child Health kits for antenatal mothers and also announced a donation of Rs 15 crore to the Institute of Obstetrics and Gynaecology for its 175th anniversary.
